HELLO AND WELCOME to THIS, the website of PUNC,the Irish punk rock radio show! Broadcasting live each week from the dark heart of Belfield, DJ MAL will guide you through a selection of the best punk music this country has ever offered up - all the different sub-genres you could want, PLUS any other music I feel like playing. There will also be news, interviews, investigations and competitions - and YOU, the listener, can get involved! See below for more detail.

Q: HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
A: The main way you can get involved is by sending us stuff to put in the show.
Q:...WHAT KIND OF STUFF?
A: Almost anything. Send us your new song, send us your demo, send us a live recording of your band - but we don't just want songs or demos, although PLEASE send us those. DJ MAL is willing to play almost any audio and read out almost any text you send in, be it a song request, a news item, a poem, a description of a dream you once had, questions you have for the DJ...knock yrselves out. As circumstances evolve there might be specific competitions, drives and events for you to get involved in, but for now it's open season.
Q: HOW DO I SEND YOU STUFF TO PUT IN THE SHOW?
A: In general, if you want to send in an audio file, send an e-mail to DJ MAL via the address on the contact page. Song requests and news items can also be sent via e-mail OR via our Mastodon account (see the contact page again). DJ MAL will have Mastodon open during the show so if you want to send in any live questions or comments, you can do so there.
Q: WHAT FORMAT SHOULD I SEND STUFF IN?
A: If it's text, I don't mind so long as it's readable. Something I can copy and paste is handy for when I'm doing show notes. If it's audio, I get a little bit more finicky: music or other audio should be, if possible, in a lossless format (like FLAC) and as high fidelity as you can manage. There's no point in Belfield FM having all this nice equipment, or you having those nice speakers on your computer, if we play nothing but mucky MP3s ;-).
